What are userbars? Userbars are smallish icons (350x19), usually created with programs like Adobe Photoshop or Gimp, that many forum, email and social network (such as MySpace) users attach to their signature or website to express their personality and interests, much like a cellphone ringtone does in the real world. Userbars have become almost as common place as forum avatars and emoticons. Generally userbars are not Macromedia Flash animations. There are already userbars for just about every conceivable subject from video games to music to tv shows and movies. A few examples are below:
